Plans for the First Week of August

Hello whoever is out there reading this.

Here are some events you might be interested the first week of August.
Perhaps, we'll see you there. =)

Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Free Page Museum La Brea Tar Pits
Haven't been, but will visit one of these days.

Free Family Film Festival at Regal Cinema at 10am
We're going to the one in Brea to watch Curious George.
The movies are different for each location so check it out.
I believe they have movie showings on Wednesday too.
I won't list it again for Wednesday so check it out for youself if you want to go then.

AMC Summer Movie Camp - Watch Spiderwick Chronicles for $1.

Family Night at Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena from 4pm- 8pm.
Free Natural History Museum
Free California Science Center (Admission is free to the exhibits any day)
My boys probably wouldn't mind another car, train, subway, bus trip down to Exposition Park to visit the two museums, but it was too much for me last month to do the trip by myself with two boys and one on the way. We'll probably just go to Kidspace this time. We've never been there, but I heard it's great fun.

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

Free Raymond M. Alf Museum of Palenonology
Admission is free on Wednesdays. Check out my post from last year here.
After visiting the musuem you can check out the nearby parks.
We went to Memorial Park last year perhaps we'll try visiting Wheeler park.
But who knows if we'll ever make it that way.

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Free admission to Huntington Library if you reserved your tickets last month.
If you want to go next month reserve tickets on August 1, 2010.
Remember tickets go fast.

We went twice last year, but it's two much walking for me right now. Too tiring. My boys probably would love to go again though. Perhaps next year.

Friday, August 6, 2010 ( Happy Birthday Nathan!)

Free First Fridays at Chino Youth Museum from 3pm - 5pm.
Never been. Too bad we missed the free admission to the first 1000 guest in July event. I kept putting it off and too late now. Since the museum itself closes at 2pm on First Fridays I think we'll probably have to make another visit. I think the First Friday event is held outside. Snacks are provided for the kids. I better call and get the details.

Free Admission to La Habra Children's Museum.
Been to the Children's Museum in La Habra a lot. Last year we had a membership. This year somehow we haven't been. Well, we did go there once for Joseph's field trip.

Home Depot Kid's Workshop from 9am - 12pm. (School Bus Pencil Organizer)
We've been going off and on. Last month's project was kind of tricky. A lot of people made mistakes making the periscope including myself. I think we'll go and make this months project. Better get there early. I think this will be a pretty popular project.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Free Admission to Bowers Museum/ Bowers Kidseum
I've been before. There was some festival going on the day we visited too. It was lots of fun. I didn't have my camera with me so that was a bummer. The Kidseum is a place where the children can make lots of noise without fear of someone saying be quiet.

Free Admission to Discovery Science Center for BofA card holders
I've taken my boys here couple of times back when we had the La Habra Children's Museum membership. The admission was half off with it. I should try making another visit sometime.

There are probably more events happening like the OC Fair. If you have any other great places to go let me know. I'm always looking for an adventure. It's just been so hard to get out of the house lately.
